A new playmat from Sassy takes baby to a place where monkeys swing overhead, and so do elephants, lions and turtles!  A large round mat featuring bright colors and various textures is paired with a see-through green canopy, offering lots of activities to promote growth and development while baby lies on his back or tummy.  The lights and sounds frog mirror, playing tropical music and jungle sounds and offering a light show in rhythm to the music, can be positioned on the mat or floor so baby can look into it during tummy time, or it can be hung from the canopy, offering a great view for baby on his or her back.  A large, soft fabric caterpillar bolster provides a comfy spot for baby as she works to strengthen her arms, neck and shoulders during tummy time. 

The playmat and canopy, along with the included 9 detachable Sassy toys, fold up compactly and fit into a vinyl carry bag for easy toting and storage.  Recommended for ages Birth+.
 
Developmental Benefit

At birth, baby can focus on objects approximately 12 inches away.  Newborns are drawn to simple, high-contrast images and will learn from seeing the variety of colors and patterns.  Baby will also delight in seeing his/her face in the Frog Mirror under the canopy.

Within a few months, baby will develop thinking skills by learning to play peek-a-boo with the images under the flower flap and discovering all the different textures on the mat.  Baby will learn to reach for and grasp the colorful hanging toys.  Use the Caterpillar Bolster during Tummy Time to strengthen baby’s muscles.  Place the Frog Mirror on the floor so baby can see himself in the mirror and enjoy the tropical tunes and lights.
